NextBeruf is free of charge for job seekers. Most of the 21 modules (CV editor, cover letter editor, job matching, Anerkennungs-Wizard, BA / Jobcenter help, interview trainer, Probearbeit guide and city guides) can be used without payment data; a few features such as the dashboard and application tracker need an account. Funding is planned through grants and licences from organisations. No funding commitment exists yet.

NextBeruf's Anerkennungs-Wizard guides you step by step: first we identify your profession by KldB taxonomy, then show the responsible authority (e.g. ZAB, Bezirksregierung, IHK) in your federal state, then you get a list of required documents and funding paths (e.g. Anerkennungszuschuss, ESF+ Bayern). The information is for orientation only and does not replace advice from the competent authority.

The platform is available in 8 languages: German, English and Ukrainian in native quality; Turkish, Russian, Romanian, Polish and Arabic currently machine-translated (AR with RTL layout). Native review for AR and TR is planned in the Q4 2026 pilot path. German technical terms such as Anerkennung, AVGS or Bewerbung stay in German in all languages, because these words appear the same way in BA letters and job postings.

AVGS (Aktivierungs- und Vermittlungsgutschein) is a state-funded voucher under § 45 SGB III. With it, the Jobcenter or Bundesagentur für Arbeit can pay for coaching, application training or business start-up advice if the responsible office approves the voucher in your individual case. Approval is not guaranteed. NextBeruf helps you apply for an AVGS at your BA advisor: you get letter templates (initial application, extension, objection) and a 5-phase status tracker in the BA / Jobcenter module.

We develop NextBeruf in line with GDPR principles, but we cannot guarantee absolute security. Drafts such as CV and cover letter are kept in your browser first (LocalStorage); without an account they are not stored on our servers. For AI features such as BERA, your input is sent to our server and to an external AI service (see /ki-transparenz). With an account, your data is stored on our servers. Usage statistics run without cookies on our own server, error logs are hosted in the EU. AI content is labelled under Art. 50 EU AI Act. Full details: /datenschutz.

The BERA · KI-Coach is available for career questions at any time, reaches out with short tips when it can help in your current section, and is an AI system without legal authority. A coach directory with six demo profiles shows how booking a human coach is meant to work later (first consultation 30 min, cover letter review 30 min, interview prep 45 min, conversation about Anerkennung 30 min). Real, vetted coaches are planned for the pilot from Q4 2026; the selection is not yet fixed.

Instead of sending 50 applications into the void, NextBeruf compares your profile (CV editor + career-change quiz) with real job postings and delivers a Match-Score in percent plus skill breakdown (present, partial, missing). This way you see faster which jobs match your profile according to the score and which gaps you could close, e.g. with retraining or a language course. Already live: job search queries the Bundesagentur API directly. Additional official federal portals, EU-wide databases and niche partners are in cooperation preparation. The match score is an orientation aid, not an assessment by employers and not a promise.

No. You can start in your language and step by step learn the German application vocabulary in the Fachbegriff-Trainer (Spaced Repetition, 5 min per day). Thirteen topic decks cover, among others, applications, care professions and soft skills. The CV editor follows German DIN format with live preview and PDF export. The cover letter editor offers three styles (formal, modern, career switch) with AI assistance. Every AI draft carries a transparency notice per EU AI Act Art. 50; editorial responsibility stays with you.
